Potential Abstract: This study investigates the effects of neoliberal pedagogies on behavioral outcomes through the utilization of visualization techniques in an educational context integrating non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Neoliberal ideologies have increasingly permeated educational systems, promoting individualization, marketization, and accountability. However, concerns have been raised regarding the potential negative impact of such pedagogical approaches on students’ social, emotional, and ethical development. To address this issue, we propose a novel intervention that combines visualization-based techniques with the emerging field of NFTs to explore the impact of neoliberal pedagogies on students’ behavior.
The study employs a mixed-methods research design, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods. First, we will conduct a comprehensive literature review to investigate the current state of knowledge on the effects of neoliberal pedagogies on behavioral outcomes. This review will provide a theoretical foundation for our study and guide the development of our research questions and hypotheses. Additionally, we will examine the use of visualization techniques as a means to enhance students’ understanding, engagement, and critical thinking skills.
The empirical phase of the study will involve the implementation of a visualization-based instructional intervention utilizing NFTs as a pedagogical tool. We will recruit a diverse sample of students from various educational settings and administer pre- and post-intervention assessments to measure the impact of the intervention on behavioral outcomes. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys and behavioral observations, while qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and reflective journals.
The findings of this study will contribute to the existing literature by shedding light on the potential consequences of neoliberal pedagogies on students’ behavior and well-being. The utilization of visualization techniques and NFTs as instructional tools offers a unique perspective on the role of technology in transforming pedagogical practices. The study’s results will provide educators, policymakers, and researchers with valuable insights into the design and implementation of pedagogies that promote positive behavioral outcomes while considering the influence of neoliberal ideologies.
