Potential Abstract: This research article explores the intersection of flexible infrastructures and educational hackathons through the theoretical framework of Derridean genre theory. Drawing on insights from both artificial intelligence and education, the study investigates how the design and implementation of flexible infrastructures in educational hackathons can foster innovation, collaboration, and learning among participants. By applying a Derridean perspective to the analysis, the study aims to uncover the underlying structures and norms that shape the genre of educational hackathons, shedding light on the ways in which these events can challenge traditional educational paradigms and promote creativity and critical thinking. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, including case studies, participant observations, and qualitative interviews, to examine how different types of infrastructures influence the outcomes of educational hackathons and the learning experiences of participants. Findings from this study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of flexible infrastructures in fostering creativity and innovation in educational settings, and the implications for designing future educational hackathons that promote inclusive and participatory learning environments.
