Potential Abstract: This research article explores the intersection of creativity, grit, virtual currency, and postcolonial education, aiming to offer a new perspective on cultivating perseverance and resilience in educational settings. Drawing on postcolonial theory, the study seeks to challenge traditional notions of grit as solely individualistic traits and instead proposes a collective and culturally responsive approach to fostering perseverance in students. By integrating the concept of virtual currency, typically used in online gaming environments, into the educational context, this research advocates for a more engaging and motivating way to encourage students to persist in the face of challenges. Through a series of case studies and qualitative analyses, this study examines the impact of utilizing virtual currency as a reward system for demonstrating grit and creativity in diverse classrooms. Furthermore, this research investigates how reframing grit through the lens of creativity and virtual currency can contribute to decolonizing educational practices and promoting equity and social justice in postcolonial settings. The findings of this study have implications for curriculum development, teacher training, and policy-making in education, emphasizing the importance of incorporating innovative strategies that resonate with students’ cultural backgrounds and promote a sense of belonging and agency in the learning process.
