Potential Abstract:
Interpersonal boundaries play a crucial role in shaping the dynamics of educational environments, influencing communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among students and educators. With the increasing integration of technology in education, platforms such as GitHub offer new opportunities for interaction and collaboration, blurring the lines between personal and professional relationships. This study employs an artificial intelligence genre analysis to explore how educators and students navigate interpersonal boundaries on GitHub within educational contexts. By examining the discursive practices and communication patterns on GitHub, this research aims to uncover the complexities and challenges associated with maintaining professional relationships while leveraging technology for educational purposes. Through a qualitative analysis of GitHub interactions, this study identifies the strategies employed by educators and students to establish, negotiate, and manage interpersonal boundaries in digital learning environments. The findings shed light on the implications of these practices for fostering a conducive and respectful educational atmosphere, where students feel supported and engaged in their learning experiences. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between technology, interpersonal relationships, and educational outcomes, offering insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to enhance the use of digital tools in educational settings.
