Flexibly Mining Educational Data through Post-Imperial Schema in Slack Channels

Potential Abstract: Educational data mining is a powerful tool for extracting insights from educational data to enhance learning outcomes. In this study, we propose a flexible approach to mining educational data using Slack channels, a popular communication platform in educational settings. By leveraging the post-imperial schema, which challenges traditional power dynamics in education, we aim to uncover hidden patterns and relationships within the data to inform instructional practices and support student success. Through the analysis of interactions and engagement metrics within Slack channels, we seek to understand how students collaborate, communicate, and learn in virtual learning environments. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on educational data mining by demonstrating the potential of integrating flexible data mining techniques with innovative communication platforms in educational contexts.
