Understanding the Intersectional Impacts of Cryptocurrency Commodification in Educational Communities through Visualization

Potential Abstract: This study investigates the intersectional impacts of cryptocurrency commodification within educational communities, utilizing visualization techniques to analyze and interpret complex data. With the rise of cryptocurrency as a form of digital currency and investment, there is a growing need to understand its implications for educational stakeholders across various social identities. By adopting an intersectional lens, this research aims to uncover how the commodification of cryptocurrency intersects with factors such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, and geographical location within educational settings. Through the use of visualization tools, including network graphs and heat maps, we seek to visualize patterns and relationships within the data that may not be readily apparent through traditional statistical analyses.

The study will draw on a mixed-methods approach, incorporating quantitative analysis of cryptocurrency data and qualitative interviews with educators, students, and other stakeholders in the educational field. By exploring the ways in which cryptocurrency commodification shapes and is shaped by intersecting identities, this research aims to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the implications of digital currency in educational contexts. The findings of this study have the potential to inform educational policymakers, practitioners, and researchers on how to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the intersection of cryptocurrency and education.
