Examining Techno-Social Scales in Cloud Operations: A Levinasian Framework

Potential Abstract: This research article investigates the techno-social scales present in cloud operations through the lens of a Levinasian framework. The rapid advancement of technology has brought about a transformative shift in educational practices, with the integration of cloud-based tools and platforms becoming increasingly prevalent in educational settings. However, as educators and researchers navigate this digital landscape, it is essential to critically examine the ethical dimensions and social implications that arise from the use of cloud operations in education. Drawing on the philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas, this study explores how the encounter with technology in educational contexts can disrupt traditional notions of responsibility, ethics, and relationality.

By engaging with Levinas’s concepts of the face, responsibility, and the Other, this research aims to uncover the ethical challenges and opportunities that arise when educational practices intersect with cloud operations. Through a qualitative analysis of case studies and interviews with educators, administrators, and students, this study seeks to illuminate the intricate dynamics at play in techno-social interactions within cloud-based educational environments. This examination will contribute to a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations that must be taken into account when integrating cloud operations in educational settings.

Ultimately, this research strives to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for educators, policymakers, and researchers to navigate the complex interplay between technology, ethics, and education in the digital age. By critically examining the techno-social scales inherent in cloud operations through a Levinasian framework, this study offers insights into how educators can foster ethical and responsible engagement with technology while promoting meaningful and equitable educational experiences for all stakeholders.
