Potential Abstract:
In this study, we propose a novel approach to enhancing open educational practices through the integration of connectionist narratives and stigmergic principles to address economic challenges in education. Open educational practices have emerged as a promising model for expanding access to education and fostering collaborative learning environments. However, existing models often overlook the role of narratives and the potential of connectionist frameworks in shaping educational experiences. Drawing on insights from artificial intelligence and educational psychology, we argue that incorporating connectionist narratives into open educational practices can enhance engagement, foster critical thinking skills, and promote deeper learning outcomes among students. Moreover, by adopting a stigmergic approach, which emphasizes decentralized coordination and self-organization, educators can leverage collective intelligence to address complex economic issues in education, such as resource allocation, funding disparities, and educational equity.
This study employs a mixed-methods research design, including qualitative analysis of student narratives and quantitative measures of learning outcomes. Through in-depth case studies and participatory action research, we investigate the impact of connectionist narratives on student engagement, knowledge retention, and critical thinking skills within open educational environments. Furthermore, we explore how stigmergic principles can enable educators to design more adaptive and responsive learning ecosystems that better address economic challenges in education.
By integrating connectionist narratives and stigmergic principles into open educational practices, our research contributes to advancing innovative approaches to teaching and learning in the digital age. This study has implications for educational policymakers, curriculum developers, and educators seeking to enhance the quality and equity of educational experiences in diverse learning environments.
