Potential Abstract:
This research article examines the potential of Web3 technology to address and dismantle racist boundaries within education, employing a novel, naive approach. By leveraging the decentralized nature of the Web3 framework, this study seeks to explore new possibilities for fostering inclusivity, equity, and justice in educational contexts. The aim is to investigate the transformative potential of Web3 in challenging systemic racism and reimagining educational spaces as anti-racist learning environments.
While the educational landscape has evolved with the digitization of learning, the pervasive presence of racial disparities within traditional educational systems remains a critical concern. Web3, an emerging decentralized web technology, offers a promising avenue to reconceptualize educational boundaries and rectify existing inequities. In this study, we propose a naive approach that calls for an open-minded exploration of the potentialities and challenges presented by Web3 in anti-racist education.
The research will employ a mixed-methods design, encompassing a comprehensive review of existing literature, analysis of Web3 educational platforms, and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders. By critically examining prior research on anti-racist education, digital divide, and emerging Web3 technologies, we aim to bridge the gap between these domains and generate new insights to inform future educational practices.
The study will focus on identifying how Web3 can facilitate the dismantling of racial boundaries in education, such as unequal access to resources, biased content, and oppressive power dynamics. Additionally, we will explore the potential of decentralized technologies to foster collaborative, participatory, and learner-centered educational experiences. By engaging with diverse stakeholders, including educators, students, and educational policymakers, we seek to understand the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing Web3 technologies in promoting anti-racist education.
This research contributes to the emerging field of Web3 education and anti-racist pedagogy, providing insights into the transformative power of decentralized technologies for dismantling racial boundaries. By understanding the potential of Web3 in promoting anti-racist education, this study aims to contribute to policy discussions and inform the design of inclusive and equitable educational systems in the digital age.
