Leveraging Chat Bots in Constructionist Learning Environments: A Keynesian Approach to Enhancing Science Education in the Digital Commons

Potential Abstract: This research study explores the integration of chat bots within constructionist learning environments to facilitate science education, drawing on Keynesian principles to promote active engagement and knowledge construction among students. By leveraging the affordances of chat bots, which serve as interactive conversational agents, this study aims to enhance student learning experiences and foster a sense of community within the digital commons. The research design involves implementing a series of interactive science learning activities that incorporate chat bots as virtual mentors and facilitators, guiding students through hands-on projects and collaborative problem-solving tasks. Through a mixed-methods approach, data will be collected on student engagement, learning outcomes, and perceptions of the chat bot-enhanced learning experience. The findings of this study will contribute to the growing body of research on the use of chat bots in education, particularly within constructionist frameworks, and offer insights into how digital technologies can be harnessed to promote active learning and knowledge creation in the classroom.
